Hello! Apologies for not posting in over a week, I was never able to find the time to actually write something, and on top of that, I was in York for the weekend with my boyfriend for our 3 year anniversary. But since I'm feeling incredibly ill at the minute, I thought I'd do a review on Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish. I know what you're thinking - another one?! Yeah, there's been a million and one reviews on this and how fantastic it is, and I have to say, I agree 100%!
My cleanser before this was from Simple, and honestly, it didn't really do much for me. At all. Then I got back from a trip to Alton Towers at the beginning of the month and seen that this had arrived, and I have definitely added it to my must-haves since.
I bought directly from the Liz Earle website, and I was just about to mention that they were selling the 100ml + 2 muslin cloths for £9.50, but I've just double checked the website and they've sold out already! Wow! I bought for the original price of £14.25 + £3.00 p&p, which does seem a little bit pricey. However I noticed when I'd received the product in the post that they'd sent me a 50ml Instant Boost Skin Tonic (RRP £5.25) as a free gift, so I ultimately got what I paid for and more with the £17.25.
After the first use of this product, I could automatically tell that it was going to become my holy grail skincare item. My skin has never felt so soft! The cleanser is very thick and creamy, and I only need to use one pump of the bottle for my entire face, so I have a feeling this will last a while! The scent isn't overpowering, but smells very natural and non-chemical.
The idea is that you smooth the cleanser onto your face and neck, wet the muslin cloth in hand-hot water, wring out and polish the product off of your face, gently exfoliating the skin too. To finish, splash your face with cold water and voila! It cleans your face unbelievably well, removing even the toughest bits of makeup and my skin feels brand new every time I use it.
I don't have quite as much to say about the Instant Boost Skin Tonic, however it does the job. I apply a little bit of the product onto a cotton pad and sweep across the face after cleansing. It doesn't dry your skin out, and for lack of a better word it makes your skin feel a lot tighter? It's a really refreshing toner, and I probably will pick up a larger size when I run out!
So far I've had a great experience with Liz Earle products, and I'm dying to try the new Colour collection (maybe in a few weeks after some more paydays!) Their customer service is actually fantastic,so I definitely recommend buying direct from the website.
