As I mentioned in my Lake District post, I picked up a lip balm in the Grasmere Gingerbread shop. I'm a lip balm hoarder, it's no secret. My go to product when my lips are in a huge need of pampering is my Lush Honey Trap balm. But, I think I've fallen a little bit in love with this! It smells and tastes incredibly similar to the gingerbread they produce, which is to die for.
Pure Lakes produce natural and organic skincare, toiletries and soaps which are all handmade in the Lake District. Most of the ingredients they use are organic, and they always check that they are derived from a traceable and sustainable source.
The lip balm cost a mere £3.95 for a huge 25ml, something I appreciate for such a high quality product. The balm itself has quite a thin and smooth texture. I was a tad disappointed when I first tried it because it was so thin, and I'm more used to thicker balms, however when I actually put it to use it glided onto my lips very easily and actually felt moisturising. It isn't packaged in a fancy way, but I can tell that this product is more about the quality than the appearance.
I've got a feeling this jar of lip balm will last me for months upon months, so it's worth the price I paid for it to say the least. You can check out Pure Lakes' range of products here. I think their products would make wonderful gifts for anyone, particular those who are into natural, organic skincare.
