The Making of Harry Potter

On Friday me and Lewis ventured on a coach trip to Leavesden Studios, where the Harry Potter films were made. It was unbelievable, there is so much detail that you can't even begin to comprehend, let alone appreciate just by watching the films. Every little thing is designed down to a tee, and I can't put into words how much respect I have for the talented people that work on films like these. The only downsides to our trip were the high prices in the gift shop (Lewis was lovely and bought me a Marauder's Map mug) and travelling back to our hotel in the coach at a temperature of 30 degrees! We stayed at the Jurys Inn Milton Keynes, which was fantastic for the price we paid - such a gorgeous view from our room!

The view from our hotel room, amazing or what?!

Apologies for the picture heavy post - I could have easily uploaded more as I got incredibly trigger happy trying to capture the detail in everything! If you're a Potter fan, you really need to do this. It's £28 for an adult ticket but worth every penny! I was so overwhelmed that I feel like I need to go back a second time to take it all in. I'm going to upload the rest of my photos to my Flickr, so hopefully they'll all be up by tomorrow night!

Have you visited the tour? What did you think?

  12. Your photos are amazing, as per usual, you captured everything :) so cool, the picture of you and Lewis clearly shows how massive the Hogwarts design set behind you was. :) Its one of those things i think you have to do again, because you want to take in every little detail! I also agree with you about the gift shop, the prices were ridiculous, we all wanted wands but couldn't afford them after we had all brought photos of the flying broomstick and the flying car, so me and Danny settled for 2 gryffindor cushions LOL :) X
