Battling Chapped Winter Lips with Lush

Until very recently, I was one of those people who walked past the lip scrubs in Lush, tutting away at how expensive they were. I mean, over £5 for a pot of sugar and some bogstandard ingredients? I just couldn't justify it.

However, I then came across this review of the limited edition Popcorn scrub on BlogOfShadows. Her reviews on Lush products are always 100% honest, and she completely convinced me to pick this baby up. I won't lie - I'm hooked!

The scrub has a buttery, salted caramel taste which is unbelievably appealing to me, and it's taking everything I've got not to pop my finger in the tub every 5 minutes. You only need the tiniest amount to scrub your lips to complete smoothness, making the price ten times more justifiable than I had originally thought. The Popcorn scrub contains caster sugar, jojoba oil, sea salt, polenta, coconut oil and popping candy, making them completely natural and suitable for vegans. This will become an everyday staple for me in Winter as my skin becomes drier and once it's gone I will be straight back into Lush to pick up another.

Lush lip scrubs also come in Bubblegum (self-explanatory) and Mint Julips (a mint chocolate chip flavour).

Have you tried any of the lip scrubs from Lush? Are lip scrubs an everyday must-have?

  6. I love the amazing products that LUSH has to offer and usually they tend to smell amazing too. I really ought to get myself one of these because my lips have been horrendous these days with only myself to blame for the lack of regular application of lipbalms. I'm planning to get myself the bubblegum flavour because the scent always draws me to it each time i visit lush :D hope you lips are nice and smooth after using this hehe xxx

    1. I actually ordered the Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm over the weekend because no others seem to be moisturising enough! But this scrub is definitely nursing them back to health haha! xxx

    1. That's such a shame! I've got pretty dry lips at the moment so Popcorn is doing wonders for me. Looking at reviews of BonBon on MakeUpAlley it seems a lot of people had problems with the formula!
