Been feeling the January Blues this month? You're not alone. The less than appealing weather, the freezing temperatures and the constant darkness can really turn your mood upside down, and it's completely understandable! I've been feeling it to, but I have been doing little things to perk me up a bit and thought I'd share a few with you.
♥ Pamper Yourself
Something I've been doing a lot more often is treating myself to a bit of a pamper. Light a couple of your favourite candles, hop in the bath with your best bubble bath (or similar) and indulge in your most luxurious products. It really does make all the difference. Finish off with a rich body lotion.
♥ Feel Good Films
Gather up your most-loved movies and have a date with yourself (or plus one!) Throw a duvet, some snacks and a cuppa into the equation and a perfect night in lies ahead.
♥ Read a Book
I'm guilty of letting reading take a backseat due to "lack of time," but during 2012 I started picking up books a lot more and started exploring fiction again. I'm loving the dystopian genre at the minute, including series such as The Hunger Games, Delirium and Unwind.
♥ Try Something New
From photography to knitting to a new TV show to new food, why not pick up a new hobby? I've been really enjoying picking up my camera and playing with the settings a bit more. In terms of TV, if fairytales are your thing I highly suggest you check out Once Upon A Time (addicted!)
♥ Memory Lane
Have a sift through old photos, whether they're from two years ago or twenty years ago. If you fancy getting creative, make up a scrapbook.
These are only minor little tasks but I thought I'd jot them down. What are your tips for cheering yourself up?
