Spending Ban Update #8

How has another week passed already? Time is flying by! As mentioned in last weeks' update, I knew this week was going to be costly. I could be moving any time now (a date would be nice, though) and have had to stock up on essential furniture for my new room. It was also my mam's birthday and anniversary on Sunday, so a nice present was needed.

I picked up Marc Jacob's Daisy fragrance for her at an arguably bargainous £34.95, and she loves it so I'm pleased with that. £5.67 went on cards (Sainsburys is ridiculous for card prices) and four bits of furniture from IKEA set me back £85. I still need to get a wardrobe!

The biggest hit to my account this week was the £300 I got changed for Prague. I leave two weeks on Sunday and I'm so excited to get on a plane again! I realise that sounds slightly sad but I've only been on two plane journeys before.

This week is sounding really bad already but I also repurchased Revlon's Colorstay foundation last night. As much as I loved the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum when it's first applied in the morning, it really doesn't have the lasting power that I wish it did. I think I might have purchased a shade too light, though! Oh, and my £10 phone bill came out.

So that makes my total spend this week £448.09. Yikes! Hope everyone's spending ban went better this week than mine did!

  1. Oof, this week definitely was a hit on your bank account!!
But you know what can you do? It sounds like everything was a necessity and the fact that you've been good so far on your ban probably gives you wiggle room for weeks like this :)

    1. You're right! My balance is still very healthy and I got paid today so it's all well, just scary how much things add up!

  2. Yeowch! Its understandable though as you are paying a holiday off. Its funny how things all come at once isn't it? I'll be having one of these sort of posts in a few weeks when I have to pay off Florida (which at the moment I can't afford haha!). I feel very sorry for your bank account but I don't think any of it was breaking the ban you know?

  3. Ah it only sounds bad because of the holiday money! Having to buy new furniture is a pain though, hope your new move goes well :) x

    1. Yeah that's a good point, I don't really think the furniture was all that badly priced! Thanks Evelyn :) x
