Eye of Horus is a brand I've only heard about once before, on Sandra's blog. The brand takes inspiration from the ancient Egyptians and incorporates this into both the packaging as well as the product, with a gorgeous array of browns and golds with bursts of colour. The range, like all others featured on Cocktail Cosmetics, is also cruelty and paraben free and is great for those with sensitive skin.
The pencils in the collection are incredibly creamy, making it super simple to apply without damaging the skin around the eye. I actually find that they're on par with Urban Decay's 24/7 liners in terms of formula. Once applied, the liner does not budge - making it great if you're looking for a smokey eye that will last. I'm also impressed with the pigmentation of the pencil, I was expecting it to be quite a sheer shade of brown, but it shows up almost black on the skin.
The pencil is double sided, with a sponge tip on the opposite end. The sponge comes in handy if you want to try the liner as an eyebrow pencil, or even as a shadow all over the lid. I'm wearing the pencil in my review of the Beautifully Disney Enchanted Kiss Palette here.
Overall I think the Eye of Horus eye pencils are a must have for any eyeliner lover, they do exactly what you'd expect in terms of application, pigmentation and staying power. Have you tried anything from the Eye of Horus range?
