Disney World Diary | Day 1

Hello! You probably haven't noticed, but I haven't posted over the past couple of weeks. The reason being that I had jetted away to sunny Florida for two weeks! I'm sadly back now after having the best time, and since a lot of people who read this blog are fellow Disney lovers I thought I'd do a little diary of sorts - it's really more for me though, so I can look back on it in future!

We set off on the 5th to Manchester airport via the train, and stayed the night at Bewleys Hotel. It was £35 each for the night and it was a nice way to start the holiday. We were up bright and early for our flight the next morning, and had a pretty slow and uneventful flight to Florida. After checking in and heading to our room to get changed, we made our way to the Boardwalk on Kayleigh's recommendation for a bite to eat. I'm really glad that she recommended it as we probably wouldn't have visited otherwise - the sandwiches from the Boardwalk Bakery were heavenly!

We were feeling pretty full (and tired at that) after our meal so we caught the boat back to Hollywood Studios before hopping on the bus to our resort to get some sleep. We were so impressed with everything already, and we'd only been there a couple of hours! On to Magic Kingdom tomorrow!

  7. Loving your Disney posts!! I am heading to Florida myself this weekend and have just purchased the same camera you used for your holiday snaps, and was just interested to know what sort of case (if any) you took yours around in? Also, which lens did you take with you for these shots? They are so good! :o) x

    1. I didn't take a case for the camera, mainly due to not being able to find one small enough in time! I basically just carted it around with me and it never caused any problems (though I did drop it after falling asleep on a bus once! It's fine).

I took both the standard kit lens and the 22mm, the only time I ever used the kit lens though was in Animal Kingdom when I needed a bit of zoom :) Hope this helps and have a fab time! x

    2. I've been struggling to find a case too, may just risk it without one! Ah I literally only got the camera this week so don't have a pancake lens yet! Hoping the standard kit lens will be ok... Thank you - your posts are getting me so excited :0) xx
